The Gift of Life
Awhile back, I came across a charity. A charity that deeply moved me and whose goals kept resurfacing in my thoughts. That charity is Charity: Water. The other day, I decided to take action. I started telling my family and yesterday I emailed everybody in my contact list. Now I need your help!
Right now, one billion people on the planet don’t have access to safe, clean drinking water. That is one in six people.
With the holidays upon us, what is a better gift than the gift of life? Donating here could be a small Christmas, Hanukkah, or birthday gift to yourself!
Please watch this video by Scott Harrison, Founder & President of Charity: Water, who explains everything. I know you’ll enjoy it.
How about $2? Or $20? Or whatever you want? It does not have to be a large donation (but it can be
). If you don’t have the funds, please spread the word as every dollar counts.
We have the opportunity to build our own well. That is why our goal is $5,000. If you tell 1,000 people and they each donate $1, think of the difference that will make. Just click here!
If you want, you can donate anonymously. You can link here from your blog. Or you can link directly to the charity site using the full URL in bold below. If you really dig this, email or tweet me for the banner code on the sidebar and the bottom.
We have until Valentine’s Day to build our well. Valentine’s Day…a day to share the love. What a great day to finish this part of our journey.

100% of the money we raise will go directly to people in need. In 12-18 months, we’ll see proof of our project built using photos & GPS.
Tell your family, friends, or co-workers. Spread virally on Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon, or Digg.

Thank you for reading this & watching the video. I hope you join me in taking action.

Excellent! I love seeing our community give back and I will make a donation. My husband was just in a half marathon in Austin Texas where the money raised went for supplying clean drinking water to people who have none. I’m glad to see this issue getting press.
